Oscar thank you so much for all of your hard work on this subject. And I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. I am not a filmmaker by any means, I might not even deserve the titles of photographer and writer that I give myself, but I would love to share with you some of my thoughts on the subject.

Here in the southwest cities like Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Las Vegas have relied on the urban sprawl. I have worked the past 14 years as a drafter and designer in the civil engineering field and have drawn my fair share of subdivisions and strip malls.

Like you stated in your video the current idea of designing around the automobile is just not sustainable in the long run. I spent a few years working on a project called We Are Neighbors which focused on this.

Drinking water is important and talked about often but another aspect you might consider is storm water management. Here in the desert we rely on a system of underground aquifers as our main water source but as we seal off the surface of the earth with concrete and asphalt we change how the rain gets into the aquifer. That thought process led me to work on But when it rains…

Best of luck Oscar Boyson.
